Costa Rica - Matapalo

Matapalo School cafeteria 

The construction of the Matapalo School cafeteria is coming along very nicely. The old short walls and chain link fence were demolished. The cement columns were recently poured and the block work is nearly complete. The space will have additional fans for air circulation and a wall-mounted air conditioning unit for the hot months.

The contractor has been wonderful to work with and truly cares about the work he does. Fun fact, the contractor was actually a former student of this school, so he takes great pride in improving it and doing his best. The windows ended up being a little too high off the ground, but the wonderful contractor didn't have any problem making the adjustments and now they are the right height for these amazing kids. We have been fortunate to meet so many great people who care about these students. It is our honor to help make an impact.
